²⁸ When they heard this, they became enraged and began to shout, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!” ²⁹ The entire city was in an uproar, and the people all rushed to the theater, dragging along with them Gaius and Aristarchus,^[a] Macedonians who were Paul’s traveling companions. ³⁰ Paul wanted to appear before the crowd, but the disciples would not permit him to do so.
